I go the weapon orbs for pistol , shotgun , fire launcher (all of them are level 3) and it seems alt-fire isn't working . I tried changing the controls but it is still the same .

Edit: I loaded last save and everything seems to be working fine .

i have just played until the alt-firemode for the pumpgun, but it doens`t work. Neither by changing controls nor by loading another savegame or restarting/installing the game.

Edit: Ok, i have solved it! Things i`ve done:

1.Moved the game from my desktop to a another folder
2.Started the game again with another charakter
3. Played until the second-fire-mode orb

I don`t know what point fixed the problem. But i think it`s a bug which still must be solved.

I have same problem, my alt fire orb mode dont bring me higher than a double jump
can't reach the orb...

Fire Launcher Orb don't make jumps higher, but keeps you in air, but for 1 jump you can alt-fire 3 times, not unlimited until ammo runs out. So make sure you'll jump from higher place, doesn't matter if horizontal distance is a bit big.

hm thats weird in gentle ravens tutorial it looks like he can jump higher than...
nonetheless I cant reach that orb also with 3 times firing its too high

Because he used a special trick to speed up reloading Shotgun, Icicle Gun (only Alt-fire) and Fireball Launcher. I don't know if Paul did this specially, or it's kinda glitch. Anyway the trick is simple to explain - you should press down (if you've got shield not broken) and Fire (or Alt-Fire) rapidly.
Sorry that I'm replying now, but I discovered it today, especially I haven't watched GentleRavens walkthrough and I'm playing GG2 for 2-3 weeks.
