Hello, I really want to try this game out but for some reason it is not working correctly. Are there system requirements for this game? I downloaded it twice from different locations, two different versions and the same thing happens. The box comes up for the game, I hear the music, I hear that I can control the game but I get no video. The screen stays black.

I have a Pentium 4 2.4GHZ, 512MB RAM, GeForce MX440m.

Any help would be welcome.

You need a Direct X 9 compatible graphics card and drivers to run the game.
Do you have dx9 installed?

Yes I do.

try turning full sceen on/off and see if it works, You do this from the setup file in the gungirl2 directory

I have tried full, not full. I hear it, I hear that I can control it, but cant see anything. Usually its all black, sometimes I get odd spots of color. Most games on my computer run fine. i know its old but I figure it should run this. Its strange, I dont know much about drivers or graphics cards so I dont know what info to give you.

Make sure your graphic card supports DirectX 9.
GunGirl 2 uses transparency effects and shaders which are not supported by Direct X 8 or older graphic cards.
