hi there. just can't find the key to that door. thought it might be a bug, began new game but still can't see it.

This is actually not a bug. The key in the scientist's house is hidden! If you can't find it, please watch the walkthrough from TheGentleRaven (thread is stickied) to find the exact location.

Why not? At first you shall talk with Doc, later with his brother hidden in Desert, when Doc said if you want to talk with him, you need a password.

I mean the door in a big Doc's house that in the Forest (left). Not at the Desert.

That's not the point. I mean, you shall go to Doc's brother for ID Card, which with it you can open this door.
