Game is slow - smoothness problem

Game is slow - smoothness problem

Postby Ted » Mon Feb 20, 2012 9:43 am

Welcome. I have a problem with the game. In some locations - such as hell or property scientist, the game runs very slowly. I play on a laptop with 1 GB of RAM, the card integrated intel 965 express chipset family. Is it possible to somehow increase the flow of the game, that character did not move so slow? Regards

Hi there!
There is an option when you run setup.exe to turn off advanced effects. That should make it run better at the locations you've described.

If that doesn't help then try to plug your laptop with a power cable and see if that makes the game run faster (I don't own a laptop but I've been told this helped some people).

Hi.
Unfortunatelly, disable "reduce FX" option won't help :( The game is a little slightly faster in this location (hell, scientist estate). Any clues to solve this problem?
Regards!

I'm sorry. The engine I use to make these kind of games is known to have problems with older computers. It may seem like a graphically simple game, but I use different transparency effects layered on top of each other (like darkness or moving fog) that may cause the game to run slow on older computers.

The best I could do is give the "reduce FX" option to disable some of the visual effects that cause slow-downs. But other than that I cannot help you, sorry :(

Well, to me, it worked fine, maybe there's a problem with your video card I guess, or with other hardware device - maybe the processor (it's the equivalent of a Pentium 3 or it's an AMD?), as you've said the RAM is sufficient to play the game...technically - in the scientist house it's a slow-mo effect practically, in hell it should've been ok to move around with the character...I can't help you more than that.
