I'm loving this game, had a great time so far.

However, I'm really struggling to get the final stone piece located in the hell forest. The second puzzle where you have to ascend the vanishing blocks with the walls covered in spikes is just impossible! Even without the spikes there, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to reach the top in time. Can anyone shed some light on what technique they used to get through it? Because I've been trying for 15 minutes now and still can't manage

Oh, and can anyone remember where the vulture weapon specialist is? I know it's one of the hell levels, but I can't find him again for the life of me!

it is possible to make that jump it just takes perfect timing

but jsut as a little .. technique?

activate the machine, normal jump to the first blocka dn wait for the blocks to dissapear

this simply allows you to jump and grab the ledge without moving when you active the machine again

so now activate the machine, jump to the right, do a quick double jump to the left and a normal double jump to the right then a normal double jump to the left, you cna use the flame bomb guns second attack for a boost on the last jump.

and the vulture weapon specialist is through a gate in the room where you rescue the vulture guy from the cage. just go through the door and stay low and youll find the gate.

No matter what I do, when I get to the last block it has already gone. Very frustrating.

that jump is really hard, probly the hardest in the game, i made it after about 15 tries, now i can do it after about 5, jsut takes practice, keep at it

It also took me several tries to make that. I guess it's really too hard, and if anything there should at least be a save point there. I can also only suggest to keep trying. You need to do a normal jump twice and you absolutely mustn't double jump to get to the first two blocks. Then you need to do two double jumps, and your timing just needs to be perfect to do it. And however many tries you need, try to avoid the spikes as much as you can when you see that you can't make the jump. For me, the most annoying part was playing through the whole level again just to get there when the spikes killed me.

I’ve tried 35-40 times by now, and nothing works. I’ve tried jump- jump-double jump, I’ve tried double jump+rocket jump (to second brick), double jump – nothing works, I can’t even touch the last brick, it’s like it’s not there.

I’m starting to think that it’s some sort of timing glitch. Extremely frustrating.

If you like, you can upload your save file and I or someone else will play that section for you. After that jump you already get the stone fragment, so that jump is pretty much all you would "skip"

Here's what I do:
1) Jump+Up to activate the gates while in the air
2) Jump to the opposite platform
3) quickly double-tap the jump button so you perform a "just higher than average" jump
4) do it again doubletapping to the opposite platform. I you did it right, your gunboy/gungirl will have a split of a second to jump+bomb+jump+bomb to the ledge

Now that I got the timing -about half an hour and resorting to cheating to not die triying- I can do it well about 1 in every 4 or 5 tries, but I have to admit the puzzle is nice, but too strict. I would suggest to increment the allowance in time in about a 10th of a second, so they don't have to jump+up...

That'd be great! Been trying the stuff mentioned in this thread and the 'jump+up' thing helped a little but I still just can't beat it
